THE WAYSIDE CHAPEL
Project Details
In June 2008, The Wayside Chapel engaged EPM to manage the redevelopment of its Potts Point premises, a hub from which Wayside provides care and support to people who are socially disadvantaged. Its old premises were very dilapidated and unable to sustain the safe and effective work of Wayside. The project was delivered in two stages, each under a competitively tendered, lump sum delivery method. EPM was responsible to develop the strategy for the staging of the project, assemble and lead the project team, manage the processes associated with obtaining statutory approvals and design, tendering and appointing the contractors for each stage, and administering the building contracts. The project was completed in March 2012 and achieved all the objectives of Wayside. EPM Projects provided end-to-end management of the fitout and refurbishment including assembling the consultant team, managing the preparation of documentation, tendering, managing the process to obtain development consent, and contract administration of the construction contract.
