Project Details

The project consisted of a new office fitout over 18,000m2. The ground floor featured an extensive client interface area for sales presentations of Alcatel-Lucent products, and a flexible auditorium space for 200 people. The project involved the integrated design of the base building to suit the needs of Alcatel-Lucent, and the relocation of over 900 staff from three locations across Sydney. A key challenge for the project was the delivery of the Alcatel-Lucent Laboratory on Level 1, a large computer room of approximately 2,000m2 housing Alcatel-Lucent’s telecommunications and server equipment. The laboratory involved extensive and complex services provisions and necessitated the staging of the building works to allow the relocation of Alcatel-Lucent’s equipment from the original premises at Alexandria in advance of the relocation of staff.
