ABBOTSLEIGH – UTILITY MONITORING ASSISTANCE

Project Details

Abbotsleigh engaged EPM Facilities Management (EPM) to address issues with the school’s electricity utility monitoring system, which had been inaccurately reporting energy consumption. Accurate tracking of electricity usage was vital to the school community, given their commitment to sustainability and reducing their carbon footprint. EPM led the investigation into these discrepancies, starting with a comprehensive site assessment. Following this, EPM assembled and coordinated a team of contractors to thoroughly review and resolve the identified issues.

In addition to resolving the inaccuracies, EPM provided ongoing guidance to help the school maintain its monitoring systems effectively. Throughout the project, EPM ensured clear communication with the school’s stakeholders and proposed innovative ways for Abbotsleigh to leverage the data collected. This included developing educational resources on energy usage and sustainability, which could be shared with students as part of their curriculum.

EPM’s involvement extended across multiple departments, including facilities management, ICT, and marketing. EPM chaired and coordinated meetings with various teams, facilitated site inspections, and collaborated with HVAC specialists and electricians to ensure the project’s success.
