Project Details

McCall Gardens Community is a not for profit, non-government organisation providing care and accommodation to people with physical and intellectual disabilities, from facilities in Box Hill and McGraths Hill, NSW. Following an initiative by the NSW Department of Family and Community Services, in 2012 McCall Gardens Community commenced preparations to transition its residents from a larger, centralised facility providing ‘institutional’ care, into up to six smaller, distributed ‘group homes ‘ that would provide a more positive environment. McCall Gardens Community engaged EPM as project manager, to define its requirements for new property acquisitions, and to conduct a property search throughout north-western Sydney.

EPM undertook preliminary investigations of around 60 properties and worked with real estate agents to prepare and refine a short list of properties representing the best available on the market. The process culminated in a due diligence investigation of shortlisted properties, commercial and contractual negotiations with vendors, and acquisition of new sites, under EPM’s leadership and management.
