BAPTISTCARE – FIRE SPRINKLER UPGRADE

Project Details

Following the tragic loss of life at Quakers Hill in November 2011, BaptistCare appointed EPM to manage the implementation of the new fire sprinkler requirements to ten of its facilities across metropolitan and regional NSW. The $6.0M program required retrofitting of fire sprinklers in existing, operational Residential Aged Care Facilities by 1 September 2014.

EPM managed this program of works through the appointment of design & construct contractors to improve the safety of its residential aged care facilities, while maintain the existing aesthetic appeal, by providing mandatory automatic fire sprinkler systems that are compliant with new laws that took effect on 1 January 2013. The program required detailed pre-planning and consultation with BaptistCare corporate and residential centre management. The project was completed in mid 2014 and EPM has since been appointed by BaptistCare on several other projects.
